EDC is actively seeking a proven leader and Oracle WebCenter Portal Consultant (Developer). To support the analysis, design, development, integration, and testing of Oracle Fusion Middleware bases projects, with specific emphasis on Oracle WebCenter Portal and Content, in addition to other related technologies, including Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS), Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Identity & Access Management, and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF). Travel is up to 30% if you are not local to Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities include:
  • Support the analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation of packaged and custom applications using Oracle WebCenter technologies.
  • Provide hands-on technical consulting, including analyzing system requirement, systems development, process analysis, and application design, development, testing, and deployment. 
  • Utilize software development techniques and methodologies to build streamlined and efficient portal-based applications and integrations with Oracle and non-Oracle technology components.
  • Develop workflows, document integrations, user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with team members using Atlassian suite of products, including Confluence, Jira, and BitBucket.
  • Analyze requirements and develop proof-of-concept and prototypes using appropriate tools and technologies, under the leadership of the project technical architect.
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day efforts toward project accomplishments with general direction from senior technical staff.
  • Participate in project planning and project status communications.
  • The position requires the ability to work individually or in a team environment.
  • Prioritization of day-to-day activities and long-term project-oriented tasks is essential.

 Required Skills and Abilities:  
  • U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position as a NACI check will be required
  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or another engineering major or equivalent experience
  • 6+ year of progressive experience in a technical and/or consulting role
  • 4+ years of experience in developing systems and applications using JavaEE technologies
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing applications using the Oracle Fusion Middleware Platform, including WebCenter Portal, WebCenter Content, and WebLogic
  • Understanding of Oracle SOA, BPM, and OAM technologies
  • Solid understanding of methods for diagramming code, designing process flows and web forms, and mapping data elements across a process
  • Good understanding of development using Exposure to JavaEE, JSP, Javascript, XML, XSLT, XPATH, XQuery, HTML, and CSS technologies
  • Good understanding of systems and software engineering, development, and testing concepts and techniques, including SDLC, unit/integration testing, and configuration management
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies using documentation and tutorials
  • Ability to think collaboratively and independently in solving problems and developing solutions
  • Experience working with a Java IDE such as JDeveloper, Eclipse, NetBeans
  • Experience working with ticketing systems (Jira, Remedy, etc.)
  • Experience working with source control management systems (Git, BitBucket, SVN, etc.)
  • Exposure to database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, JDBC, and Oracle DB (not DBA level)
  • Ability to maintain multiple tasks/projects efficiently with general supervision
  • Self-motivated, accountable & responsible.
  • Comfortable working in both team and autonomous situations.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and collaborate with team members to exchange information
Travel Requirement: Travel may be required.
