Oracle Database Administrator

EDC is actively seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator. Candidate must possess advanced Oracle Database Administration skills for the enterprise. Designs and manages new Systems, Databases, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide Personnel System. Ensures Database technologies are properly installed, configured, optimized and STIGed. Responsible for Designing and Implementing Overall Disaster Recovery or Contingency plans. Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, Provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues.

Required Skills and Abilities:

10-15 Years of professional work experience.
• Perform Oracle RDBMS installation, upgrades and patching.
• Build and Configure Schemas
• Develops and implements automated backups utilizing RMAN and DDBoost
• Perform Schema Management
• Perform basic UNIX/LINUX configuration
• Run and Remediate Oracle RDBMS Software and Database STIGS
• Perform RDBMS configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot network issues in a virtual environment.
• Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures,
• Brief staff and customers on project/task status
• Operational knowledge of PeopleSoft Technologies
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and PLSQL
• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor Degree)
• Current and Active DOD 8570 IA Level II Certification required (i.e.  Security+ CE).  CISSP, CISA, CISM certifications preferred.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
• AWS Experience
• Red Hat Linux

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Security Clearance Requirement:  Candidates must have a minimum Interim Secret OR Secret clearance to be considered for this position.
