EDC is actively seeking an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner for an opportunity to support the DoD’s multi-billion dollar Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) program in the Washington D.C. metro area.
 
Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is expected to support our government client in AWS deployments, lift & shift migrations and innovative AWS solutions. The Cloud Practitioner should be able to execute architecture blueprints and bring it to reality with a DevSecOps mindset & culture. Our candidate will be able to build and configure build plans, code pipelines, and create automated solutions that can be frame worked and re-used. Finally, the candidate will become a subject matter expert and evangelize the latest technologies and tools to provide better efficiency and solution to other teams.
 
Required Qualifications
  • AWS CloudFormation
  • AWS EC2, VPC, S3, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a DevOps environment with your team, managers, business units and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to embrace and focus on emerging technology and evangelize to the rest of the team
  • Must possess and in depth understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Ability to develop and contribute in an IaC environment while working seamlessly in a distributed team via collaboration tools.
  • Ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology, and keep current with industry certifications
    Knowledge in Puppet/Ansible is highly desirable.

AWS, Azure, Atlassian Suite products like Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/Bamboo, Terraform, Consul, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Microservice architecture, AWS CloudFormation/ Azure Resource Manager, Python, Lambda, FedRAMP knowledge
