EDC is seeking a Web Developer for an opportunity in Arlington, VA or New Orleans, LA.
: DoD Secret Clearance (Required to start)
||As the Developer, you will write, test, and debug back-end code that supports websites and web based applications. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and familiarity with both the Java programming language and related technologies, such as a relational database like Oracle.
You will work closely with the User Experience Manager and the Transition Lead to ensure that final products adhere to predetermined budgets, scope, designs, and shape visitors’ experiences. Create page layouts (headings and paragraphs), website styling (colors and fonts), and page features (animations and pictures).
In addition, you will present to clients a prototype of a website to help them understand what the finished product will be. Maintain the website as new features are added or old features are updated, ensuring these changes are implemented smoothly and that they do not disrupt the website’s features.
||Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training or work experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a current DoD Secret Clearance
|Required: Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience programming applications using Java
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect,
- Linux LPIC1,
- Oracle DBA
- CompTIA Security+
- DOD 8570 Certification a plus
- Eclipse Integrated Development Environment IDE
- Developing projects using the Agile Methodologies
- Oracle PL/SQL Programming language, and the ability to use CRUD via Java
- Web Design and Development methodologies such as the SDLC
